Series Units	All of the current that is applied to the load flows through the unit. The suppressor activity of noise and transients is well controlled.
Parallel Units	The total amount of voltage applied to the load is also applied to the unit. Only transient current flows through the unit. The suppressing activity of noise and transients is parallel and depends upon external system impedances.
Series/Parallel Units	Combines the advantages of the series and parallel units
